Tags help track of things such as the format for source content. They are not translated and they come in pairs: an opening and a closing tag. Translated content retains the formatting of the source content, so even though tags do not themselves need translation, they are an important component in the final translation. For this reason, translations should retain the same tags and same location within a target segmentas the source segment.
