A. in Translation from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in 2001 and working as a translator and in-house translation tools administrator, he served as a Program Manager of the Bellevue College Translation & Interpretation Professional Certificate Program outside Seattle and as a board member for the Northwest Translators & Interpreters Society, a chapter of the American Translators Association. Currently he offers freelance translation and editing, and translation tools consulting and training at his company, Morning Star Translations. Ruth Simpson
Not content with letting her winemaking husband discuss acidity and tannins around the family Sunday lunch table without her, Ruth decided to find out more and enrolled in a wine tasting course. This led to her signing up to do the two-year WSET Diploma, which she was awarded in 2013. When she doesn't have her nose in a glass, Ruth is also a FR>EN translator for the luxury industry (wine, spirits, fragrances and cosmetics), sings in a choir, and besides drinking wine, loves nothing more than exploring the depths of the ocean with a SCUBA pack on her back. He has a bachelor’s degree in translation from the São Paulo State University (UNESP) and a master’s in translation studies from the Federal University at Santa Catarina (UFSC), in Brazil. Besides being a a CAT tools-aholic free-lance translator, she is Wordfast trainer, CAT tools trainer at Proz.com, Torre de Papel and Colegio de Traductores Públicos e Intérpretes, Regional San Isidro, Argentina, Senior Project Manager – Special Projects at Green Linguistics, professional cook, and at her spare times studies Turkish language and Argentine wines. She was born in Argentina, but lived in Venezuela for 20 years, where she studied translation at Universidad Central de Venezuela. She lives with her family in Argentina now. Her session is:
