Configure File Format Filters

Filters preferences control the file format filters for importing source content to Wordfast Pro.

To configure file format filters:

  1. Select Preferences from the Wordfast drop-down menu.
  2. Click Filters under New Project Preferences.
  3. Select a filter configuration from the Extract numbers drop-down list to define the filter action on source segments that contain only numbers.

    all

    Extracts all segments with only numbers for translation

    time_date_measure

    Extracts only segments with time and date

    none

    Does not extract any segments that contain only numbers
  4. To select the file filter settings for the open project, click a filter to list the current settings in the Format Settings pane.
  5. (Optional) Change settings in the Format Settings pane. The options are specific to the file filter you select.
  6. (Optional) Add a custom file filter for a filter you need that is not already in the list by clicking Add.
  7. On the New Filter dialog, select a format from the Choose file format drop-down list to use as a template for the new filter.
  8. Enter a filter name in the Filter Name field, then verify your configuration is correct in the Format Settings pane.
  9. (Optional) Browse for and select a Fontmapping file, if it is an option for that file format.
  10. Click OK.
