Package Files

A package file contains all of the required information to work on a translation project. You can use a package file to share content and files among different Wordfast Pro (WFP) users. The package file can contain complete or incomplete projects.

A package file generally includes:

• All target translatable files

• Source files

• Connection to the Translation Memory (TM)

• Connection to the glossary

• Instructions

• Reference files

• Background information

To access a package file from another user, import the file into WFP. Wordfast connects the imported files to translation memories and glossaries. It provides you access to all the translatable files and additional resources, including TMs and glossaries, without any additional setup or configuration.

To share a completed project with other users, export the package.
