Copying Tags

In Wordfast Pro tags can be selected and copied individually (Copy) or copied as a group (Copy All Tags).

To copy tags from the Translation tab:

1. Click Translate All.

To copy a selected tag:

2. Place the cursor in the target segment where the tag is to be placed.
3. Select the tag to be copied.

   The tag is highlighted in red and selected as shown in the following example.

   
4. Do one of the following:

   • Drag the selected tag into the target segment

   • Click Copy (or press Ctrl+Atl+)

     

   The tag appears in the target segment and the next tag is highlighted.

To copy all tags:

5. To copy all tags:
   1. Click the segment containing the tags to be copied.

      The source and target segments are highlighted as shown in the following example.

   2. Click Copy All Tags in the Tags section of the Translationtab to open the drop-down menu.

      The Copy All Tags menu appears as one of the two shown.

        

   3. Select Segment to copy only the tags for the selected segment to the target.

      Or: Select Document to copy all tags for the entire document.

   4. Enter the translation between the copied tags, if necessary.

      Copied tags appear at the location of the cursor. They must be reordered to appear correctly.

   5. Drag and drop the translated text, or cut and paste the translation between the tags.
