Analyzing Projects

In Analyzing Projects, files for translation are analyzed against a Translation Memory to leverage reusable content and execute a pre-translation. This process can greatly improve efficiency while reducing the time and effort spent by the translator.

The project analysis process uses Translation Memory in executing a pre-translation (see Analysis Dashboard). To analyze files:

  1. Open Wordfast Pro and select a project.
  2. Click Open Project on the Project List dashboard as shown in the figure below.

  3. Click Analyze on the dashboard.

    The Project Analyze window appears. Select the file(s) to be analyzed as shown in the example below.

  4. Select the appropriate settings and provide export report information as needed.
  5. Click Analyze.

    The Analyze Progress bar appears.

    The analysis completes and the Report File is presented.
